NOTE TO AUTHORS

Please submit manuscripts in English or French in the form of a paginated print, double-spaced with wide margins. Articles should not exceed 12,000 words, reviews 2,000 words, and review or debate articles (NOTES section) 4,000 words. Overly long manuscripts will not be considered.

Endnotes should be numbered as one continuous sequence of Arabic numbers throughout the text and be typed together, double-spaced, after the end of the text. Full bibliographic references should not be included in notes, instead they should be grouped in alphabetical order after the notes, following the journals standard. Place in-text references in parentheses, e.g., (Doe 1979: 143).

Manuscripts may include reproductions of illustrations deemed useful (photocopies of maps and charts, paper prints of photographs). Number illustrations as a continuous sequence as they appear in the text and caption them properly, including sources or credits if need be. All captions should be typed together on a separate page. The original illustrations, in camera-ready form, should be sent to the Editors only when requested. Illustrations will appear in black and white only.

Manuscripts will be submitted to peer review on a double-blind basis. The Editors will notify the authors of manuscripts selected within six months and may request revisions. Rejected manuscripts will not be returned.
Authors of articles will receive one copy of the journal and twenty reprints. Authors of notes and reviews will received ten reprints. Authors bear the sole responsibility for the contents of their writings. The journal cannot be held responsible for the possible loss of documents.
