The Asia and Pacific Network: the creation of a federative structure |
The four main goals of the Asia and Pacific Network are:
1 to carry out an inventory of those working on Asia and the Pacific, in order to bring researchers together, identify possible gaps in research on the region and mobilise them, ensuring optimal visibility and publicity for their work;
2 to develop conditions allowing researchers to work together on issues not limited to a single country, language or culture, but which concern many regions or even the entire Asian continent;
3 to draw specialists from other regions or disciplines towards Asia;
4 to create a hub of skills and knowledge in Europe, through the creation of a database for each country, which is structured so as to cooperate easily with similar bodies in Asia or North or South America.
